L.I.T. and Nehemiah Kids are effective in discipling children and preteens through a consistent process of discipleship and ministry training and involvement. This is accomplished in partnership with parents in the home and the church.

WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME?

15380578 1793837524214005 2381504753578676870 nFamily Involvement: In order for children to enter the L.I.T. and Nehemiah Kids leadership programs, they must attend a Parent Orientation. The intention of the orientation is to show parents the importance of prioritizing their child’s faith development and personal walk with Christ. They learn that the key to their family’s ultimate spiritual success is making God their number one priority and putting Him first. The child learns this at home through having a daily personal devotional time. This is reinforced at church during their Disciple Group times (small groups).

WHAT HAPPENS AT CHURCH?

D.G. (Disciple Group) Time: Discipleship is the core of L.I.T. and N.K. The primary focus of the small group time is to reach children with the Gospel and teach them how to have a personal relationship and walk with Christ daily. This is accomplished by learning the spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study, lordship to Christ, personal evangelism, and service and ministry, which results in living a life of obedience to Christ. Children learn these disciplines at home, and they are reinforced during D.G. time.

Ministry Training and Involvement: We believe that every believing child has a spiritual gift(s). During D.G. time and ministry training, children and preteens learn how to use their spiritual gifts in service in small group and in the body of Christ. As a part of the weekly meetings, they can learn creative arts or get training for a specific task for ministry in your church.
