Research continues to show that four spiritual practices are strong predictors of children continuing to walk with Christ as young adults: regularly reading God’s Word, prayer, serving in the church, and participating in evangelism and missions. For over 24 years, Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) has focused on discipling children and preteens through biblical habits that lead to a life-sustaining faith.
For over 24 years, Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) has focused on helping children and preteens develop a life-sustaining faith through intentional discipleship. At the heart of the L.I.T. discipleship process are four foundational areas that work together through both the home and the church: Family, Mentorship, Ministry, and Missions.
It begins with salvation and continues through daily time in God’s Word, surrendering to Christ as Lord, prayer, discovering and using spiritual gifts in ministry, and boldly sharing the Gospel. As these disciplines become part of everyday life, children develop a strong, life-sustaining faith that transforms their heart and equips them to live on mission for Christ.
