Empowering The Next Generation to Make Disciples Who Make Disciples
Our goal is to recognize the uniqueness of every child. We are committed to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple, equip, and release them for ministry in the church and as missionaries in the world.
About Us

The Story of L.I.T. Ministries

L.I.T. Ministries was founded by Dr. Clint May in the summer of 2002 with a simple but powerful vision: to disciple children deeply in their walk with Christ and empower them to serve in ministry and missions.

On May 8, 2002, Clint became the Children’s Minister at Wedgwood Church in Fort Worth. That summer opened the door for a new kind of ministry—one focused not just on teaching children about Jesus, but training them to live for Him daily and share His love with others.

As preteens learned spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible study, obedience, evangelism, and service, lives began to change. Children discovered their spiritual gifts, learned how to walk closely with Christ, and boldly shared the Gospel with others. Clint witnessed firsthand that children were not only capable of growing deeply in their faith—they were capable of leading others to Christ.

A Movement of Young Missionaries

In the summer of 2004, Clint, along with 35 preteens and adults, traveled from Fort Worth to Corpus Christi for one of the ministry’s first mission trips.
During the trip, preteens were trained and released into local apartment communities where they:

-
Led worship
-
Taught evangelistic Bible studies
-
Led crafts and outreach activities
-
Counseled children and shared the Gospel
God moved powerfully through these young leaders. During that mission trip alone, the preteens helped lead 27 children and students to Christ.

Since 2004, L.I.T. Ministries has sponsored 40-plus mission trips across seven states. Through these efforts:
-
More than 4,000 preteens and students have shared the Gospel with thousands of children and families
-
More 1,600 children have come to Christ
-
Approximately 60 churches have participated in mission experiences

Expanding the Vision
By 2006, churches across the country began requesting discipleship resources and training after seeing the impact L.I.T. was having on children and families.
What began as a local ministry quickly grew into a broader discipleship movement. Today, L.I.T. Ministries has published more than 72 student devotionals, leader guides, and evangelistic resources designed to disciple children, preteens, and students. These materials have been translated into multiple languages and are now being used internationally.

Empowering The Next Generation

In 2015, Clint’s passion for equipping leaders led to the creation of the Empowering The Next Generation (ETNG) training conferences and handbook.
Through ETNG:
-
More than 5,000 leaders have been trained worldwide in approximately 18 countries
-
One trained leader has equipped more than 2,000 additional leaders across six African nations
-
The handbook has been translated into 13 languages
-
Leadership training is provided free of charge in many third-world countries

A Growing Legacy
CDM International was officially registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on August 26, 2010. On December 30, 2013, the ministry officially became known as L.I.T. Ministries.
Today, L.I.T. continues to pursue its mission of reaching children with the Gospel, discipling them in their faith, equipping them for ministry, and releasing them as missionaries and disciple-makers to the world.
L.I.T. Ministries Values
We Value Children. We believe that children are the church today, not just the future. When a child accepts Christ, they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and gifted by the Spirit for works of ministry. We are called to disciple and equip children to fulfill their purpose in the church and the world to make disciples of all nations.
We Value the Church. We recognize the church’s call to make disciples and to equip the saints for works of ministry. We are committed to providing training and resources to disciple and equip the next generation in the church—through training events, live webinars, and website training videos.
We Value Families. We recognize that parents are biblically responsible for teaching their children the truths of God’s Word. We are committed to providing resources to help them effectively disciple their child.
We Value Missions. We are committed to organizing mission trips that bring the church together with a shared vision of releasing children and students to be on mission for Christ. By sponsoring yearly mission trips, we empower the next generation with the purpose of sharing the Gospel and creating new ministry opportunities in the United States and internationally.
