Discipleship Without Borders: Help Us Translate the Vision-May 2025 Newsletter

We are living in exciting times for L.I.T. Ministries! We had put all of our world leaders on hold until we were able to complete the revision of ETNG (Empowering The Next Generation) Leadership Handbook.

This handbook is very different from what it was before. Now that it is finished, we have begun the work of translating it into various languages. We are currently working with twelve different languages. In India alone, there is a need to translate the handbook into three separate languages. If you would like to help fund our translation work, we will need between $300–$700 per translation. We estimate the total cost to be $6,000. So far, we have raised $1,000.

If you would like to help us translate our handbook, you can do so using this link. Click the International tab at checkout.

It Is Finished! A New Era Begins for Global Discipleship

After months of research and follow up with our international leadership, we have completed the updated training handbook. Praise the Lord! The new handbook is all inclusive. It trains leaders how to reach children with the Gospel. Unfortunately, this is the stopping point for many ministries. We are taking it to a new level by teaching children how to walk with Christ daily through the spiritual disciplines of Lordship, prayer, Bible study, ministry, and evangelism. We are teaching leaders to become Pauls to their young Timothys. It is our prayer to make young apprentices for Jesus. Thanks to Amy McMullin for overseeing this project and its completion.

Training Pauls, Discipling Timothys: The L.I.T. Vision in Action

This chart represents our view of a child’s faith and calling in Christ. It is our passion to move children from personal faith to surrender and obedience. In so many cases, children are led to Christ, but then it STOPS there! New life and identity in Christ comes through surrender. Teaching them to make Jesus Lord and Boss through surrender, you help them align their plans with His plans for their life. As they walk out their faith, they discover God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

Growing the Kingdom Together: Updates from L.I.T. Tanzania by Paul Mamba

We successfully had a meeting with volunteers who are doing L.I.T. at their local churches. Sixty-six leaders from different denominations were gathered.

We had time to share testimonies, challenges, and experiences, although many claimed about lack of materials as they advance. Newly involved leaders need training to increase their knowledge with this L.I.T. approach and curriculum. We all are praying for your family, the ministry, and you. Thanks.

Elim Conference Report, May 20-22 by Russ Zacek

The Elim Oasis Conference, held May 20–22, brought together pastors and leaders from the Elim network—125 churches with a century-long legacy in church planting and global missions.

As someone who was discipled and mentored in an Elim church as a teen, I shared with Elim’s president how my current mission with Leaders In Training (LIT) continues the vision of raising up laborers for the harvest. During the conference, I met with dozens of pastors and shared the LIT vision, resulting in plans to follow up with six churches interested in discipleship for preteens. I also connected with missionaries from Africa and Central America and received invitations from Kenya, Uganda, and Liberia to train their children’s ministry leaders in LIT. These meaningful conversations planted seeds that I believe will yield lasting fruit in the years to come.
