Leaders in Training Apprentices by Heidi Hayslip

We trained more than 60 children's pastors at the conference in Burkina Faso last March and asked 11 of them to complete a condensed three-month version of L.I.T. in their churches or kids' clubs. Each children's pastor chose 10 kids and has been mentoring and training them once a week to serve as apprentices and help teach and lead during kids' church or kids' club. Then they took the children out for a large evangelistic outreach. The testimonies coming in are amazing!

“Every L.I.T. child played their role very well, but the one who touched me the most was the teenage girl who presented the Gospel at our outreach. She was so anointed as she preached; one of the pastors burst into tears and took her in his arms, and invited all the adult helpers to lay hands on Abigail and pray for her. Abigail’s father, who was present, was so moved that he decided to fund us so that we could continue the program in the fall, especially its training component. He bought our children’s church a piano keyboard, a bench drum, and a djembe drum for the kids to learn to lead worship, as well as money to pay for professional music teachers.”

Freely You Have Received, Freely Give Dr. Clint May

It is hard to fully comprehend all that the Lord has done through L.I.T. Ministries. Recently, a good friend told me, “Clint, I am amazed by what the Lord has accomplished through L.I.T.” My response was simple: “It is all the Lord.” L.I.T. has never been about me—it is and always has been about the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2017, He called us to begin giving our discipleship resources and training away internationally. After much prayer and discussion with our Board of Directors, we stepped forward in faith. Since then, the Lord has opened doors for us to train thousands of leaders in more than 20 countries, and we have never charged our international brothers and sisters for training. Again and again, God has faithfully provided. This is His ministry. He is the boss, and we are His disciples—ready to listen, follow, and obey.

Please continue to pray for the Lord’s blessing and direction for L.I.T. Ministries here in the United States and around the world. Our desire is simply to remain faithful to His calling—making disciples and equipping the next generation to know Christ, follow Him, and make Him known. To everyone who has prayed, given, encouraged, and partnered with us, thank you. Your generosity is helping equip leaders around the world to reach, disciple, and equip children for ministry and missions. You have blessed us so that we can bless others. May the Lord richly bless you as together we continue to live out His words: “Freely you have received; freely give.”

Russ Zacek Missionary Update

All our L.I.T. fall devotions are finished and available on Amazon for purchase! This has been a massive project during the first half of the year. Now we are entering the editing and redesign phase for the spring devotions (six more books to reformat, edit, redesign, and publish). We need to finish these by December. This work is critical, as it will modernize and refresh the in-depth devotionals our disciples will study year after year. Prayer Requests

·   Pray that the Lord will expand L.I.T. Ministries here in the United States.

·   Pray for the Lord’s provision to publish the remaining six L.I.T. discipleship books. The average cost is $1,000 per book. We currently need $3,000 to complete the work on all the fall books.

·   Pray for Russ Zacek, Amy McMullin, and Rachel Jackson as they finalize revisions and updates to the Leaders in Training discipleship resources.

·   Pray for Dr. Clint May and Heidi Hayslip as they work to complete a devotional that complements the Cross Life Bible study.
