I AM GUILTY!

“Bow your head, please. If you would like to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, pray this prayer with me, ‘Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You diedFacebook Prayer for my sins and rose on the third day. Please forgive me for my sins. I ask You to come into my heart to be my Savior and Lord.’”

I led many children in this prayer in my first 13 years of ministry.

Remember, I am a child evangelist at heart, and I want children to come to Christ and accept Him as their Savior.

But my greatest sin was what happened afterward—NOTHING!

I handed out Bibles and new Christian materials to them, but it just was not enough.

I do not know how many Vacation Bible Schools, camps, special events, and retreats I have done that I walked away and did not follow up with the kids who made professions of faith.

I AM GUILTY!

You see, guys, the Gospel is the most incredible message of all.

When a person is born again, they become a child of God; they are a part of God’s family.

But it does not stop there.

We must help show them how to walk with the Lord and grow in their faith every day of their lives.

They need to know that God will not leave them alone, that they can call to Him in prayer at any moment, 24/7.

Our Creator saved us for a relationship with Him; we are His children, and nothing can remove us from His hands.

These new believers need to learn these things—who they are in Christ and that He desires a daily relationship with them.

They need to be trained and equipped for ministry in the church and the world today.

They need to become disciple-makers themselves.
