Leaders In Training Changed Me, My Ministry, and My Family

It's been more than ten years since Leaders In Training changed me, my ministry, and my family. It wasn't a curriculum or a program, but it was discipleship. I was mentored by Clint, and he, in turn, taught me how to disciple others, most importantly my family. They grew up spending time in the Word and exercising their gifts to serve in the church. It challenged us to move away from consumer-driven kids ministry to discipleship-driven ministry. Today, our ministry exists because of the influence of Leaders In Training and seeing God use kids to advance the Gospel. 

I Was “On Fire for God”—He Changed My Life From the Inside Out

I gave my life to Christ in the summer of 2016 at a girls’ camp. I was “on fire for God.” God changed my life from the inside out. After I got saved, it felt like life changed. Not only did I have the desire to serve, but I also had the desire to learn.

I first started serving in my children's ministry. Soon after, I was introduced to the L.I.T. mission trip for our 5th and 6th graders. My first mission trip made me realize the passion I had to serve. I genuinely feel happy when I can serve people, so I have looked for opportunities to serve continually. It helped me get into music ministry to serve, not only in our youth and children's ministry, but in other areas as well.

You Never Know Who You Might Run Into by Dr. Clint May

One of the joys of working with churches is the fruit of their ministry. I had the honor of leading a leadership training at Lake Arlington Baptist Church. While leading the training, I met Tommy Jr. and Tanner Foster. They went through Nehemiah Kids and L.I.T. at Hillcrest Baptist Church years ago. They are now leading small groups at Lakeshore. It is such a joy to see the Lord’s faithfulness. We have updated our website with many stories and testimonies of lives changed in powerful ways. Please keep us in your prayers for wisdom and clear direction. Pray for the Lord’s provision for L.I.T. as we move rapidly through 2024.

L.I.T. in India by Santosh Bardhan

In India, leadership training plays a crucial part in shaping individuals for various roles, including those in children’s ministry. In 2023 alone, we as LOAM team members trained 114 leaders for evangelism, church planting, and making disciples. Some leaders are actively involved in mentoring children, imparting values, and equipping them with the skills to share the Gospel with their peers. This transformative approach not only instills a strong foundation of faith but also empowers young minds to become leaders themselves. The emphasis on raising children as leaders in the context of ministry reflects a commitment to nurturing a new generation capable of positively impacting their communities through shared beliefs and values.

Children have become leaders to share the Gospel with their friends in the communities. Let’s all join our hands in prayer to impact the lives of the children by sharing the Gospel with them and equipping them to be leaders for their generations.

Updating Our Website

As we began a new year, we realized our website needed an overhaul. We have been working on it for about three weeks, and we’re excited for you to see our updates. We have added many testimonies and free ministry resources for the church. Our new homepage and follow the links from there.
