Children Are Like Stealth Fighters—Flying Under the Radar, January 2023

Years ago, we prayed for an open door at Greenbriar Elementary School in Fort Worth, Texas.2005 01 23 13.27.45

We desired to share the Gospel with as many children as we could.

The Lord answered our prayers with a Yes.

During the next several weeks, many children trusted Christ as their Savior.

These were exciting times, but we did not want to leave it there.

We taught those children how to pray and spend time with the Lord daily, and we were committed to training them on how to share their faith.

Then, we encouraged them to go and tell others about the Lord.

As the weeks progressed, we asked the kids if they had talked with anyone.

Almost all of them said they had.

To our amazement, many of them had led someone to Christ.

Marcelo was thePicture1 biggest shock to me because he led his parents to Christ.

I visited his home one evening and talked with his mother.

I said to her, "I heard that you accepted the Lord.”

She pointed to Marcelo and said that he had led her to Him.

He was nine years old at the time.

Marcelo overcame barriers and shared the Gospel with his parents, who responded and trusted Christ.

Missions education is excellent, but it goes to a new level in our churches when children are trained, equipped, and sent out today.

Marcelo proves that the Gospel in children's hands can be a mighty force in their homes and schools.

The Battle Is Waging for Our Children by Dr. Clint MayPicture2

You may not know, but Vicki and I are blessed to have six children and eighteen grandkids.

Our quiver is full—literally. When I share that with some people, they look at me like they feel sorry for me.

Children are our heritage, and they carry on our legacy of family and faith.

Sadly, our country and schools today are often no longer friendly toward our kids.

It is as if our government has lost its moral compass.

What is good is now evil, and what is evil is now good.

Our kids are under attack on every corner, from gender confusion to racism. It appears hopeless and out of our control.

The enemy has a plan for our kids; we know that plan is "to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." His target is their minds and confusing their reality and their identity.

But Jesus said, "I have come275280695 10229033961772672 2653596153315024371 n that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

The good news is that children today threaten the kingdom of darkness.

I have been on more than 30 preteen mission trips with at least 3,000 preteens (4th-6th grade).

I have witnessed the Holy Spirit work through kids in powerful ways—when the Spirit moves, the kids are powerful tools in the hands of the Master.

When you see them at one moment terrified and then the next on fire for the Lord, you know that God is at work.

God is calling them to be His Church today.

They are not called to be bench warmers but gifted missionaries with a calling to minister and serve.

This new year, I pray to stand before as many pastors, children's ministers, and children's ministry leaders as I can to help them see that there is hope in the insanity.

God is calling us to train young missionaries in our churches in order to send them into the schools and neighborhoods to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Please keep L.I.T. Ministries in your prayers. We have a lot of great things coming this year!

Dr. Clint May
